About Us
Jack Smith is retired after having spent twenty five years in a local law enforcement
agency. He is well versed in all area's of the law and spent twenty years assigned to
the Forensic Unit where he was subjected to a variety of Crime Scenes ranging from
minor burglaries to major homicides.
Jack Smith has served as an expert witness in Circuit Court, Federal Court, Judicial
Hearings and Traffic Court in fingerprint analysis and crime scene processing and
evidence collecting procedures. Certified with AFIS through the Florida Department of
Law Enforcement, he has also received training with the FBI, and the International
Association of Identification.
He has provided adjunct lectures in these areas to the University of Florida's College of
Law, Santa Fe Community College, and Central Florida Community College.
A member of the International Association of Identification since 1993, the International
Crime Scene Investigators Association since 1998, and the Florida Licensed
Investigators Association since 2003, he serves as a highly qualified expert in latent
fingerprint comparisons and analysis, and all areas of crime scene processing.
